It’s Time for a Totally Different Approach

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. That’s true, and consequently Australian conservatives are going insane, and are in deep trouble.

What conservatives have long been doing for the last forty years or more to effect political and social change no longer works, but this realisation has still not yet dawned on most.

We all know the world has changed. People over sixty years old remember a world that was totally different to the world we know today – you know, leaving money out with the milk bottles for instance. Public institutions could be trusted to uphold rational and conservative values and the lobbying of politicians and bureaucrats usually brought about sensible change. Sure, it wasn’t perfect, but at least it enabled a cohesive well-functioning largely democratic society which mostly acted in the best interests of the population. Not so today.

The old strategies to lobby for change simply do not work any more. Petitions to politicians and parliaments from the people are routinely ignored. ‘Consultations’ held by government bureaucrats are now meaningless, deferring to pre-determined and mostly unpopular outcomes, and letters to Ministers simply go unanswered. Many politicians are weak and spineless, failing to take a principled stand, and in many cases simply obsequiously agreeing with the socialist left, who are now in complete control of the parliaments, the bureaucracies, the education institutions, and making inroads into the justice system as well.

Nowhere has this corruption of our institutions been more recently demonstrated than the 2024 Australian Book Award being given to Thomas Mayo and Kerry O’Brien for their disturbingly misleading propaganda piece “The Voice To Parliament”. This is outrageous. How can any Australian have confidence in our institutions any more?

The socialist left has grown cocky, now simply doing as it pleases, bullying, intimidating, shouting down and ‘cancelling’ those who dare to get in their way or attempt to stand up to them by speaking the truth – something which is a rare commodity these days. Current events in Australia stand in mute testimony to this fact. Once trusted public institutions like the Human Rights Commission now assist the woke bullies in their work. It’s now clear that leftists pay no heed at all to the appeals of conservatives who oppose their agenda. Yes, conservatives are in deep trouble.

Added to that, the much lauded ‘silent majority’ is rapidly shrinking year by year. The polling results from the failed Voice referendum are instructive. In conservative rural areas, the No vote was as high as 80%, yet in some areas of the big cities it was the opposite. Allegedly it was the ‘less well educated’ who voted ‘No’, nevertheless, the No vote prevailed at roughly 60-40 against. Perhaps an education is now a distinct disadvantage? But country conservatives are a minority. By way of example, the population of Victoria is about 6.9 million, yet the population of Melbourne is about 5.2 million, leaving a mere 1.7 million, or a 24% minority in rural Victoria. Arguably, whilst perhaps less well educated, rural Australians are much more in touch with reality than their city cousins, but their numbers are tiny by comparison.

Yet these statistics get worse every year with older conservative people dying off, so no longer voting, whilst every year younger people who have been indoctrinated by the new socialist left education system rise to voting age, supporting the propaganda which has been drilled into them since kindergarten. The left has played this long game for decades; they know that eventually all the old conservatives will be dead, and they’re right. The young socialists shall rise up and replace them. Heaven help us.

Meanwhile, in Victoria the Labor Government continues to hire more well-educated, well-paid socialist bureaucrats to both vote for them and inflict their revisionist woke agendas on to an unwilling yet compliant population. And with such a weak, dispirited and often-times compliant Liberal-National opposition, how will Victoria ever rid itself of woke socialist Labor? Where can we turn for some hope that this malaise is simply a bad dream that will soon end?

Today, silent majority conservatives still have a ten percent lead over the 50-50 democratic mid-way, but what will happen when that slim majority disappears, as it surely will within the next ten years? It simple demographics, so when the socialists have become the majority, what then? Who will rescue us?

The challenges Australia faces from the woke socialist left onslaught are myriad. The scams of climate change, ‘sustainability’ and ‘net zero’ are dividing the country, damaging the environment, increasing costs and creating economic ruin for many. Despite the Voice defeat, the wholesale handing over of Australia to people who now identify as ‘Aborigines’ continues apace to divide the country along the lines of race. Histories of the west and Australia are now recreated by fabulators, claiming their stories of revisionist history as fact. White males are traduced and held responsible for the ills of society yet transgenderism insidiously undermines the rights and integrity of women. New attempts are being made to control and censor information whilst Christian-based schools are to be censured. Seemingly unfettered immigration is rapidly changing the composition of our population, distorting our values base and creating a housing crisis to boot.

How has all this come about? It’s simple really – conservatives have just been too ‘nice’ to the people who should have been recognised as their enemies and vigorously fought and defeated. The woke socialist left has used the complacent conservatives own values and virtues against them as a sign of weakness, exploitation and capitulation. Conservatives have simply been too ‘Christian’, too tolerant, too lenient, too accommodating and too forgiving – all great Christian values that the socialist left has exploited to the maximum. We’ve been so weak in our convictions, and so ‘nice’ and accommodating that we’re now being exterminated! No-where has this been better demonstrated than by the naive Christian churches which have become havens for socialist left ideologies, posing as ‘Christian values’. This has been going on since the 1970’s and represents the suicide of the Christian west through tolerance and niceness.

In Australia this has been rapidly exacerbated by the mass importation of immigrants who fundamentally disagree with and are opposed to our Australian values and way of life, all the while reaping its benefits. One might wonder what they are even doing here. That answer is simple as well – they are colonising Australia and we would again be naively foolish not to recognise that, but who’s letting them do it, and why?

As a result, Australia is now manufacturing leftists at a rapid rate through a hijacked and corrupted education system and importing socialists, and even worse, religious radicals and fanatics, through utterly unsustainable mass immigration. These imported divisions and learned disharmony are now clearly apparent in Australian society through the Gaza crisis and abhorrent rampant anti-semitism, which has been appallingly reflected through this current Labor government. This was all entirely predictable and will only likely get worse.

Yet Labor is now hoisted on its own petard with its need for Muslim votes in western Sydney, and likely soon in Melbourne and other heavily Islamised cities. Labor’s abandoned support for Israel, as seen by their appalling decision to vote yes in the UN to Palestinian membership, has further divided Australians and badly damaged Australia’s international reputation. The wholesale immigration of Muslims into Australia has come back to both haunt and bite the socialist left – so much for the marvellous multi-cultural social cohesion of Australia – it’s vanished! That too will get worse, yet Labor no longer does what is right for Australia, but serves its own interests in an attempt to cling to power.

No civilised democracy can have two diametrically opposed world views such as Christianity and Islam living in the same country and expect to live in harmony. That has already been shown the world over – just look at France, Sweden and now the UK. Why would we have ever expected Australia to be immune or any different? As immigrant numbers increase, we as a society have decayed into disharmony and a series of tribes because there is no longer any homogenous culture based upon shared values, beliefs, discipline and respect, and without these qualities it is not possible to operate a functioning cohesive society.

And what is the end-game here? It’s the promised socialist/communist ‘Shangri-la’ of course; a delusion where everyone is supposedly ‘equal’ and ‘the planet saved’, but we need look no further that Russia, China or Venezuela to see how that turns out. Nevertheless, for the last 20-plus years conservatives have lost every battle to the socialist left. We must recognise that. The world has changed, the old has passed away and the new has come. The old strategies are simply no longer effective – they just don’t work any more. We must adjust to that, and if we’re not to be overwhelmed by it then we must develop all-new strategies to fight the socialist menace. It’s now long overdue for a complete change of strategy, but what is that to be?

Rather than wasting our time fighting symptomatic individual issues, thereby tying up our scant resources (just as the left would have us do) we must take a completely different approach from the issues themselves and instead talk about what is behind the issues. We must talk about and expose the people who are pretending to be people who they are not. We must talk about the people pretending to be acting in the best interests of Australia when clearly they are not. We must allow honesty and integrity to prevail by telling the truth about what is being done to our country and its people, and of who and what is behind it, and why.

There is only one solution – to awaken and activate the remaining ‘silent majority’ before it is a majority no more. An activated silent majority needs to demand an end to the socialist policies destroying Australia before it’s too late. But how is that to be done? That silent majority must be silent no more and become a mobilised movement creating a strong groundswell of opposition to the current woke socialist left tsunami and they the people must influence, indeed demand, that so-called conservative politicians (aka the Liberal and National parties) return to their roots and properly represent their conservative constituents and the traditional values and beliefs of Australia. To achieve this, we will need to recruit, educate and train a whole new younger generation of conservatives, and we only have less than ten years to do it.

Unless something changes, and radically changes soon, then the Australia we once knew will be lost, and the then minority conservatives will have no-one else to blame but their own lazy selves.
